I grow all my genlisea in the same manner. I use a tall, clear, undrained container - as used for selling soup in supermarkets. The main pot is one that will sit just at the brim of this (3-4" usually). The compost is not firmed down, to try and simulate floating detritus or loose litter at waters' edges. The water level is allowed to fluctuate between just above the soil surface and halfway down the main pot. Hopefully in time the traps will grow out of the drainage holes and into the water so I can see them - that's the theory anyway! These pots are shown at the bottom.

Compost: 2:1 peat:sand
Light: Bright diffused light, no direct sun
Temperature: 10C-32C
